Patna: Punjab CM and Akali Dal president Prakash Singh Badal on January 4 evening praised his Bihar counterpart and Janata Dal (U) president Nitish Kumar for “excellent” arrangements for the 350th Prakash Utsav at Patna.

Badal, who arrived here in the day, went to CM’s bungalow in the evening for dinner and appreciated the state
government’s arrangements for the visiting Sikh pilgrims. Deputy chief minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal also reached here by a special plane.
Akali Dal is a partner in the NDA and its praise for the Bihar chief minister did not go well with the BJP. Union minister of state for medium and small scale industries Giriraj Singh regretted the Prakash Utsav has been turned into Nitish Utsav as hoardings full of Nitish Kumar photos have been displayed all over Patna and chief minister was
taking entire credit for the festival though the union government too has  given money for the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Govind Singh.
Amrinder Singh, former chief minister of Punjab, and Delhi CM Arwind Kejriwal, who also visited the birth place of Guru Govind Singh, called on Nitish and complimented him for the  excellent arrangements for the festival. Badal, Amrinder and Kejriwal are against each others in Punjab assembly election campaign.
