Dhanbad ( Jharkhand) : In a daring incident witnessed at Bhaura located at Jharia in Dhanbad district at 10 pm on August 18, 2017, Kunal Ravani, 28, shot dead his uncle Dhiren Ravani, 52, Director of Rainbow Group of companies which deals in micro financing besides product marketing and has its business running in for states : Bihar, Bengal Odisha and Jharkhand.

Dhiren had gone to his village Gaurkhunti Bhaura, about 25 km away from Dhanbad, to attend a religious festival on occasion of Mansa Puja. According to police, Kunal was very irritated with his own uncle Dhiren over property matter and cases related with it are being contested in Dhanbad courts.
When Dhiren was taking a stroll on August 18 night after having his dinner along with his friends, Kunal suddenly appeared before his uncle abusing him for grabbing his property and pumped two bullets into his body from his countrymade revolver from point blank range before anyone could rush for help.C aught off guard, Dhiren slumped down on ground in pool of blood while Kunal tried to disappear from the spot.
A group of local villagers carried Dhiren to Central hospital where he was declared brought dead while several other villagers caught escaping Kunal and lynched him to death.
Dhiren also had criminal history and was released from jail in 2016 while Kunal’s father and brother of Dhiren named Shankar Ravani is in jail in another criminal case. Dhanbad SSP Manoj Ratan Chouthey said both the bodies were sent for post mortem while investigation into the incident is onĀ  adding that prima facie the killing took place due to property dispute. Family feud for property rights took away lives of uncle and nephew in Dhanbad.
