Prohibition & Excise Department sleuths seize 14 Cartons of IMFL at Buxar

Buxar : Prohibition & Excise Department sleuths, with the help of Buxar police, conducted raids at the house of one Deepak Ram in Mathia locality under Buxar Town police station on December 17, 2019, seized 14 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) though the liquor smuggler escaped from the spot.

The officials of Prohibition & Excise Department sealed the house of Deepak Ram. A named FIR has been lodged with   Buxar Town police station against Deepak Ram under Prohibition and Excise Act and police are conducting raids to arrest him.

Excise Superintendent Neeraj Ranjan said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was kept at the house of Deepak Ram in Mathia locality under Buxar Town police station after which he, with the help of Buxar police, conducted raids at his house and seized 14 cartons of IMFL. Deepak Ram, however, escaped from the scene. The Excise Superintendent  said that Deepak Ram had been smuggling IMFL from Uttar Pradesh and sold them out at different places in Buxar.
