Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge XVI, Ara, on December 17, 2019, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment Pawan Kumar and also slapped a fine of Rs 60,000 on him in an MBA student murder case.

Public Prosecutor Nageshwar Dubey said that Pawan Kumar of village Andhari under Chauri police station in Bhojpur District lived in a rented house on the campus of Bibi Jaan ka Hata under Nawada police station, Ara. He had some enmity with Raj Kumar who lived in an adjoining house.  In May 2013 when Raj Kumar, an MBA student,  was passing through Pakari Mission School, Pawan Kumar shot him dead and escaped.

After hearing both the parties the ADJ XVI, awarded rigorous life imprisonment to Pawan Kumar and also slapped a fine of Rs  60,000 on him.
