Muzaffarpur : Railways has ordered an inquiry into snapping of generator wire which fell on 25,000 volt live electric wire overhead a sleeper bogie of Amritsar – Katihar Amrapali Express on April 4, 2017, evening, at Muzaffarpur railway station causing injury to around a dozen passengers. Station Superintendent Sudhir said that the incident took place when welding work was going on the Foot Overbridge leading to Railway colony for which a generator was being used for power supply. Meanwhihe, Amritsar – Katihar Express reached on platform number 3, he said adding that suddenly the generator wire snapped and and fell on 25,000 live electric wire overhead.
