New Delhi : The President of India Ram Nath Kovind has condoled the passing away of Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar.
The President said, “Extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Shri Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister of Goa, after an illness borne with fortitude and dignity. An epitome of integrity and dedication in public life, his service to the people of Goa and of India will not be forgotten.”
A four-term chief minister Parrikar, 63, died at his private residence at Dona Paula near Panaji, Goa, around 6.40 pm on March 17, 2019, after long illness. He was a former Defence Minister too. He is survived by two sons and their families.
