Samastipur : Kumkum Devi, 30, who was pregnant, was allegedly strangulated to death by her in-laws for dowry at village Dharmpur Bande under Patori police station in Samastipur district on March 14, 2017. Kumkum was daughter of Ganaur Singh of village Mahisaur under Jandaha police station in Vaishali district.
Police said Kumkum was killed for dowry by her in-Laws on March 14. Her father has lodged an FIR with Patoli police station against Kumkum’s mother -in-law Kamla Devi, father-in-law Akhilesh Pandey, brother-in-law Sone Kumar and one more person in this connection. Police sent the body to Samastipur police station for post-mortem. The accused are yet to be arrested.
