Patna : World No 84  Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, India, qualified for main draw of ATP Miami Masters 1,000 tournament at Florida, USA, on March 20, 2019, late night. Prajnesh beat World No 196 Jay Clarke, 20, UK, 6-4, 6-4 in the second round of qualifiers to qualify for the main draw.

Prajnesh broke Clarke’s service twice in the match. He broke Clarke’s service in the first game of the first set as well as first game of the second set. Prajnesh’s winning percentage on his first serve (81%) was also higher than that of Clarke (75%). But, it was a close contest.

Prajnesh also had to qualify for main draw of ATP Indian Wells Masters, California, USA, recently where he lost in the third round.

World No 57 Felix Augur-Aliassime, 18, Canada, also qualified for the main beating World No 107 Paolo Lorenzi, 37, Italy, 7-6, 6-2 in the second round of qualifiers on March 20, 2019, night. Aliassime broke Lorenzi’s service twice in the match.

World No 85 Pablo Cuevas, 33, Uruguay, beat World No 118 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 33, France, a 2008 Australian Open finalist, 6-4, 6-4 to qualify for the main draw.

World No 53 Reilly Opelka, USA, beat World No 111 Marcel Granollers, 32, Spain, 6-3, 7-6 in the second round of qualifiers on March 20, 2019, to qualify for the main draw. Opelka broke Granollers only once in the match.
