Patna : World No 114 Alexei Popyrin, 21, Australia, upset 3rd seed & 2014 US Open Champion Marin Cilic, 32, Croatia, in straight sets 7-6, 7-6 in 1hr 59 minutes in semi-finals on February 27, 2021, to reach the final of ATP Singapore Tennis Open at Singapore.
Popyrin, in all, won 96 points during the match to 85 by Cilic. Both the players won 1 break point each and 3 games each in a row during the match.
