Police zeroing in on 10 accused in Ara trader murder case

Ara : Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Ara, on July 7, 2017, issued Ishtehar (Proclamation) against all the 10 named accused including senior HAM (S) leader Danish Rijwan, his brothers: Md Shahid and Zamal Asaraf, Munnu Singh, son of Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) Malati Devi, Indubhan Singh, former Bhojpur district president, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, notorious criminal and one of the main accused in the Ara Civil Court bomb blast Chand Mian and his brother Md Nayeem, in connection with murder of a businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji on July 2, 2017. Police pasted the ‘Ishtehar’ on their houses on July 8.

Now police is planning to pray for issuance of warrant of attachment of properties of these accused before the court. Some motorcycle borne armed persons had pumped at least two dozen bullets into the body of a businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji, son of  businessman late Ram Khelawan Singh in Padav locality near Model Institute around 11 am on July 2, 2017, and a named FIR was lodged with Town Police station, Ara,  against 10 persons on the statement of Mahesh Yadav of Bhaluhipur who was accompanying the deceased at the time of murder.

Police arrested seven unnamed accused: Md Aslam alias Raja, son of Md Zameel of Badi Mosque Gurhati lane, Md Nurain Alam alias Sonu, son of Asgar Ali alias Dhannu of Bhaluhipur, Md Azad, son of Md Nayeem of Balbatara, Nehal Ahmad alias Mintu, son of Ahmad Saifuddin of Kazi Tola, Md Shamim, son of Md Khalid of Chaudhriana, Mehroo Nisha, wife of Md Shamim of Chaudhriyana, and Gudia Khatoon, wife of Md Isaayil and sister of notorious criminal Chand Mian and Nayeem Mian of Nala Road under Town police station. But, they police have failed to arrest a single named accused even after a week of the murder.

SHO, Town Police Station, J P Singh said that Babloo and Budhua had worked as liner in the murder of Kumar Ji and July 2 was fixed as the date to execute the plan due to thin crowd in the market. On July 2, both had followed Kumar Ji when he left for home and informed the conspirators on mobile. On their information, 12 armed persons riding four motorcycles intercepted Kumar Ji and pumped 25 bullets into his body and escaped, the SHO said. He said that Zaved, Raju Mistri, Naseem, Firoz and Baba are also on  police radar after Md Raja and Md Nehal named them before the police as conspirators.

Meanwhile, Danish Rijwan who had resigned from the post of the national spokesperson of the HAM (S) after his name was dragged in the murder of the businessman, said that he believed in law and would surrender before the court in a day or two.
