Ara  : Bhojpur police took Monu Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav and Bhuddu alias Deepak Yadav on two- day police remand on March 21 for further interrogation in connection for making an abortive attempt to murder of Chandan Kumar, son of a petrol pump owner of Ara Mohan Singh. Police had prayed the court for police remand of the three accused s and the court allowed it on March 20. The trio had surrendered before the court on March 18, 2017, and the court had sent them to jail under judicial custody.

Three motorcycle borne armed criminals had shot at and injured Chandan Kumar, son of a Petrol Pump owner, Mohan Singh, in Mahadeva Road locality under Town police station, Ara, in the afternoon on March 9, 2017. Land dispute is said to be cause behind the incident.

A named FIR was lodged with Town police station on March 10 on the statement of Mohan Singh against five persons: Monu Yadav, son of Awadh Bihari Singh, a Havildar BMP 14 of Maulabagh locality under Town police station, Sunil Yadav, son Dhaneshwar Yadav of Mahavir Tola locality under Town police station, Akhilesh Yadav, son of Sudesh Yadav of Maulabagh locality under Town police station, Diwakar Kumar alias Bijay Kumar, son of Vaidyanath Singh of Madan Ji Ka Hata under Town police station and Bhuddu alias Deepak, son of Vishwanath Yadav of Mahavir Tola.

Police arrested Sunil Yadav and Diwakar Kumar and also seized three countrymade pistols, eight 7.56 mm live cartridges, one .315 live cartridge, six mobiles, a Scorpio,  3 motorcycle and cloths. Police also conducted raid at the houses of Monu Yadav and Bhuddu Yadav and arrested Monu Yadav’s father Awadh Bihari Singh and his brother Golu and seized 13 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and sent them to jail.
