Sasaram : Rohtas police, on a tip off, conducted raid at village Shivpur (Barav) under Nokha police station in Rohtas district on April 26, 2018, evening, and seized Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in large quantity along with firearms, live rounds, horns of deer,  and other materials from the house of a doctor.

SHO, Nokha police station, Mithilesh Kumar said he got information that liquor was being brewed and supplied from a house at Shivpur (Barav) village under the police station. He immediately swung into action and with a heavy police force conducted raid at an abandoned house of Dr Gopal Sharan Singh at the village and seized a two barrel gun, 25 live rounds of .315 caliber and two horns of deer.

The SHO said that police also conducted raid at the house of Pappu Chaudhary located  beside the house of Dr Gopal Sharan Singh and seized 264 bottles of IMFL packed in 43 cartons, 50 kg of Ammonium Chloride, 45 cartons of jaggery (gud), four gallon Kerosene oil, two gallon of zawa mahua and a packing machine. But, police failed to arrest anyone in this  connection. The raids continued about four hours and the entire village was cordoned off.
