Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids at village Rampur under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district on September 20, 2018, late evening and seized 920 gram of Heroin, 100 gram of Brown Sugar, and some chemicals used for making drugs, worth about Rs 1.75 crore. Police also arrested a drug peddler Badhu Ram in this connection and sent him to jail.
Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that he got information that Heroine and Brown Sugar had been brought over to village Rampur under Barhara police station after which he directed the SHO, Barhara police station, Uday Pratap Singh to conduct raids there. The SHO with police conducted raid at the house of Budhu Ram at Rampur village and seized 920 gram Heroine, 100 gram Brown Sugar, and chemicals used for making drugs. The SP said that during interrogation, Budhu Ram spilled bean and police were conducting raids at several places to arrest the kingpin of the gang of drug peddlers.
