Police seize 575 kg Ganja in Bhojpur

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raid in Ghagha Bazaar area under Jagdishpur police station on September 10, 2017,  morning and seized 575 kg of contraband Ganja worth about Rs 2 crore. An FIR has been lodged with Jagdishpur police but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that he got information that Ganja in large quantity was being brought over to some place under Jagdishpur police station area. He immediately formed a police team under ASP Daya Shankar Singh. The police team conducted raid in Ghagha Bazaar area under Jagdishpur police station and seized 575kg Ganja packed in 40 packets and loaded on a tractor. The tractor driver, seeing police, escaped from the scene leaving the tractor behind. The SP said that police are searching for the smugglers and hoped they would be arrested very soon.
