Buxar : Buxar police seized 56 bags of rice from Bazaar Samiti area under Buxar Town police station on April 11, 2017,  evening.  The rice was loaded on a pick-up van from the SFC godown at Bazaar Samiti and was to be sold in the black market. The driver of the Pick-up van Lal Babu Ram was also arrested. An FIR has been lodged with  Town Police Station on the statement of Assistant District Supply Officer K Praveen Kumar.

Buxar Sadar SDO Gautam Kumar said that he visited the SFC godown at Bazaar Samiti under Buxar Town police station on April 11 evening and found that rice bags loaded on a Pick-up van and a Bolero. He immediately informed the Town Police Station about it.

SHO, Buxar Town Police Station, Raghav Dayal said that the rice bags belonged to a PDS dealer Ramkrit Thakur of village Oda under Dhansoi police station in Buxar district. He said that the driver told police that the PDS dealer had sent him to bring the rice bags. He said the department concerned itself sends foodgrains to the PDS shops at every village and collecting foodgrains from the godown by a PDS dealer that too in the dark is surprising.
