Ara : Police conducted raids near Ramdihara Bridge on Bihia-Salempur main road under Bihia police station in Bhojpur District around midnight on September 22, 2019, and seized 4,500 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) packed in 840 cartons and loaded in a truck. The driver and the cleaner of the truck, however, escaped under the cover of darkness leaving the truck behind.

SDPO, Jagdishpur, Shyam Kishore Ranjan, said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was being smuggled in truck. Police immediately swung into action and conducted raid near Ramdihara Bridge on Bihia-Salempur main road under Bihia police station. Police intercepted the truck but the driver and the cleaner jumped off the truck and escaped under the cover of darkness. The SDPO said when the truck was searched, police found 4,500 bottles of IMFL in 840 cartons, 75 cartons of toothbrush, and 10 cartons of mixture of Patanjali, which were seized.
