Police seize 388 bottles of IMFL in Bhojpur, 4 smugglers held

Ara : Police, on a tip off, arrested four liquor smugglers and also seized 388 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) near Mahadevganj under Dhangai police station on NH 30 in Bhojpur district in the wee hour on March 26, 2017. Police also seized a motorcycle and an Alto car.

SHO, Dhangai police station, Manindra Kumar said that he got information that some liquor smugglers were on way to Jagdishpur with IMFL. He immediately laid a trap and arrested a motorcycle borne liquor smuggler Raj Kumar, son of Baliram Singh of Shiv Ji Pokhara, Jagdishpur. In the meantime, a Alto car arrived and when it was searched 388 bottles of IMFL were recovered from it though two liquor smugglers travelling in the car escaped seeing the police.

Later, police, on the revelation of Raj Kumar, arrested Ranjan Yadav, son of Sona Lal Yadav of Jagdishpur ward no 18, Pappu Mian, son of Zaharuddin of Jagdishpur ward no 16, and Sonu Kumar, son of Rajendra Kasara of Jagdishpur ward no 6. Police forwarded all the four arrested liquor smugglers to jail.
