Sitamarhi : A police team led by SHO, Runnisaidpur police station (PS) in Sitamarhi district, Shiv Narain Ram, seized 350 cartons of IMFL worth Rs 4o lakh on February 26, 2017, night from a truck near village Bhanaspatti on NH 77. The foreign liquor consignment was found hidden beneath chemical bags which the truck was carrying.
Police also arrested three persons: Ranjan Kumar, Pappu Kumar and Alok Kumar, all residents of village Bhagwanpur in Vaishali district, in this connection besides seizing a SUV and the truck. The truck was coming from Haryana. Police source said that investigation was underway to identify the kingpin of the liquor smugglers.
