Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids on the outskirt of village Agiao under Agiao Bazaar police station in Bhojpur district on March 11, 2019, and seized 26,400 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) though the liquor smugglers could not be arrested.
Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar said that he got information that IMFL had been stored at village Agiao in large quantity. He immediately ordered the Agiao Bazaar police station to conduct raids and seize the liquor. Police immediately conducted raids and seized 26,400 bottles of IMFL packed in 550 cartons. He said that the IMFL was hidden in a field and police recovered it from there. The SP said that an FIR has been lodged by Agiao Bazaar police station under the Prohibition & Excise Act and police were conducting conducting raids to arrest the liquor smugglers.
