Buxar : Police, on a tip off, on November 18, 2019, seized 25 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a car in Buxar District though the liquor smugglers escape from the spot. Police also seized the car.
SHO, Buxar Town police station, Rahul Kumar said that he got information that Amit Choubey of Civil Line Bhumihari Field is bringing a big consignment of IMFL from Uttar Pradesh around midnight on November 17, 2019. He immediately swung into action and with a police team conducted raids at Bhumihari Field in the wee hour on November 18 and saw a youth unloading something from a car there.
When the youth saw police he escaped from the scene under the cover of darkness. Police seized the car and when it was searched 25 cartons of IMFL were found loaded inside it. A named FIR has been lodged with Buxar Town police station in Buxar District against Amit Choubey under the Prohibition & Act and police are conducting raids to arrest him.
