Sasaram : Police, on a tip off, conducted two places at village Ghadi under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district on December 21, 2019, and seized 2,040 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) packed in 86 cartons.
Police also seized a Pick-up van and arrested its driver Sabaddin Chaudhary of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and the owner of the vehicle Amawas Ram of village Gadhi. A named FIR has been lodged with Nasariganj police station against Sabaddin Chaudhary, Amawas Ram, Krishna Nat, and Antu Nat under tProhibition & Excise Act in this connection. Police sent the arrested persons to jail after interrogation and also conducting raids to arrest the rest two persons.
SHO, Nasariganj police station, Rajesh Kumar said that police conducted raids at Ghadi village near Shiv temple and seized a Pick-up van loaded with tomatoes. When the vehicle was searched, police seized 31 cartons of IMFL. He further said that police also seized 55 cartons of IMFL kept behind the bush near Shiv temple at the village.
