Police seize 148 cartons of IMFL, van in Buxar

Buxar : Buxar police, on a tip off, seized 148 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and a pick-up van in the wee hour on March 18, 2018, though the driver of the van escaped leaving the vehicle behind.

SHO, Muffassil police station in Buxar district, Dayanand Singh, said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL was be being smuggled through Panditpur via Nadav on a pick-up van. He immediately swung into action and formed team and as soon as the van proceeded from Nadav,  police team intercepted it but its driver managed to escape leaving the van behind after seeing police. Police seized the van and 7,104 bottles of IMFL packed in 148 cartons.
