Police seize 135 cartons of IMFL at Bhojpur village, also seize truck

Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids at village Asani under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district on January 10, 2020, and seized 135 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and a truck though the liquor smuggler escaped from the scene.

SHO, Udwantnagar police station, said that on the direction of Bhojpur SP, a police team led by ASP (Operations) Nitin Kumar conducted raids at village Asani  and seized 135 cartons of IMFL stored at a house. Police also seized a truck loaded with fertiliser and said that the liquor smugglers had brought the IMFL by the truck hiding the liquor beneath the bags of fertiliser. An FIR has been lodged by Udwantnagar police station in this connection and police are conducting raids to arrest the liquor smugglers.
