Battiah : Gaunaha police under Narakatiaganj Sub-division in West Champaran district, on a tip off, conducted raids in Chichiyahi riverine belt near village Balabal on December 22, 2017, night, and seized 120 litres of countrymade liquor hidden there for smuggling and arrested three smugglers: Umesh Mahto, Nageshwar Mahto and Suresh Nath of the village.
A Dhanaha police station team, on the other hand, seized two bottles of IMFL from a vehicle and arrested four persons in drunken condition. Police sources said that arrested persons were sent to Bettiah district jail on December 23.
