Police seize 10 kg Ganja, huge cash from a Saharsa house

Saharsa : A Saharsa district administration team headed by SDO, Sadar, Prashant Kumar, and comprising SDPO Prabhakar Tiwary, and SHO, Sadar police station, Saharsa, R K Singh, on November 22, 2017, late night seized about 10 kg Ganja and huge cash from the Machhlipatti house of Mohad Sajjad, a notorious Ganja smuggler.

The raid, which was conducted on a tip off to SDO, Sadar, Saharsa, started at 8.30 pm continued till midnight on November 22. Sajjad, however, managed to escape. Sajjad’s two brothers are already in Divisional Jail, Saharsa, on the charge of Ganja smuggling for the last several months. The Machhlipatti area at Saharsa is known for Ganja smuggling but police had failed to bust the racket. Sajjad was allegedly supplying Ganja in the entire Saharsa district.
