Police rescue 7 girls from clutches of professional dancers in Rohtas, 3 held

Sasaram : Rohtas police rescued seven teenage girls from the clutches of professional dancers on January 9, 2020, late evening, from different places and also arrested two pimps and a professional dancer in this connection.

A named FIR has been lodged with Rohtas Muffassil police station on the statement of a girl against six persons : Durga Kumari, Sahir Sharma, Ayodhya Sah, Mahesh Kumar, Raj Kumar, and Amit Kumar. Police brought the 7 rescued girls over to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Bikramganj, for medical examination. Police are conducting raids to arrest the named accused.

Circle Inspector Intkhab Alam, quoting the FIR, said that Amit Kumar, Mahesh Kumar, and Raj Kumar, had brought the girls from Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand promising them job at hotels as waitress on good salary but they sold them to professional dancers at Badaka Mor and Bikramganj. He said that one of the girls somehow slipped from the clutches of her tormentor and reached Bikramganj police station and narrated her story to police.

SHO, Bikramganj PS, Atwendra Kumar, along with Circle Inspector Intkhab Alam and police force immediately swung into action and conducted raids and recovered four teenage girls from the house of a professional dancer Durga Kumari in redlight area in Dhangai locality and three teenage girl from Badakagaon Mor under Muffasil police station area. Police also arrested professional dancer Durga Kumari, and two pimps,:Ayodhya Sah and Sahir Sharma.
