Police recover Varanasi girl from her lover’s house in Bhojpur

Ara : Police recovered a teenage girl from the house of her lover at village Lahang Dumaria under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district on February 26, 2019, though he escaped from the scene seeing police.

Police brought the girl over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for medical examination and produced her before the court to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.

SHO, Bihia police station, Shahid Akhtar Ansari said that the girl from Ramnagar locality under Ramnagar police station in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, came in contact with a youth Bittu Kumar of village Lahang Dumaria under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district through mobile phone and fell in love with him. Later, she and Bittu Kumar escaped from their houses on December 25, 2018, and started living at Panipat, Haryana.

An FIR was lodged by Ramnagar police station on the statement of the father of the girl alleging kidnapping of his daughter. Police on the basis of their mobile location conducted raids at Panipat but the lovebirds had returned to village Lahang Dumaria by that time. On information, Ramnagar police reached there and with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart and recovered the girl from the house of her lover and took her to Ramnagar with them.
