Police recover missing woman from village near Ara

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raids at village Majhaua under Ara Town police station and recovered a woman, mother of four children, on January 21, 2020, evening. Police brought her over to the Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before an Ara Court to get her statement of recorded under Section 164  of CrPC.

SHO, Barhara police station, Awadhesh Kumar, said that Geeta Devi, 39, wife of Laxman Mahto of village Fuha under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district and mother of four children, had eloped with her lover Ajay Kahar of the same village and went to Gujarat in May 2019. After spending there some time, she returned and started living at a rented house at village Majhaua under Ara Town police station along with her lover for the last one month.

Lamxman Mahto lodged a named FIR with Barhara police station against Ajay Kahar in this regard. After institution of FIR,  police swung into action. Meanwhile, police got information that Geeta Devi was living at a rented house at Majhaua. Police immediately conducted raids and recovered Geeta Devi though her lover escaped arrest.The SHO said that Ajay Kahar was already married to two women.
