Ara : Bhojpur police recovered a teenage girl from a house at Jehanabad and also arrested her lover from there on March 17, 2020. Police brought them over to Ara on March 18, 2020.
Police also brought the girl over to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and produced her before an Ara Court to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.
SHO, Nawada police station, Ara, Sanjeev Kumar, said that a teenage girl of Dhobighatawa locality under the police station had suddenly disappeared in February 2020. An FIR was lodged with Nawada police station by her father alleging his daughter had been kidnapped. After institution of FIR, police started investigation into the matter and also conducted raids at different places to recover the girl. Meanwhile, following mobile surveillance, police got information that the girl is living at Jehanabad. A police team was sent there which recovered the girl from a house .Police also arrested her lover Rakesh Kumar from there.
Rakesh Kumar said that he is a resident of Rajgir in Nalanda district in Bihar. He told police that the girl, a matriculation student, had come to Patna City for shopping in February 2020 where he met her and they fell in love and planned to escape from their houses. He further disclosed that he and the girl came to Ara railway station in February this year escaped from their houses and started living at a rented house at Jehanabad.
