Sitamarhi : Police on January 8, 2021, recovered body of a missing college girl with her throat slit from a gunny bag thrown beneath a bridge near village Mohanpur close to NH-77 under Sitamarhi Town police station in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar.
The locals identified the deceased as Manju Kumari, 20, a graduation first part student at Kisan college Bariyarpur. She was a native of village Tandaspur Rupauli under Bathanaha police station in Sitamarhi District and was missing since January 7, 2021, morning. She had left home for her college on bicycle at 11 am but did not return. Her father Ram Kishore Sah has demanded thorough investigation into her murder.
Sadar SDPO Ramakant Upadhyaya visited the site and assured the villagers of early arrest of culprits. None has been arrested in this connection so far though. Vehicular traffic was affected for hours due to big gathering of the people on the NH following recovery of the body of the missing college girl.
