Bettiah : West Champaran police recovered body of a kidnapped youth Wajaif Wasim, 17, son of a Chadar (bedsheet) Shop
owner Mohammad Wasim of Bettiah town, from a field filled with rain water on Supriya Cinema road of the town, around 1 am on August 19, 2020. Wajaif Wasim was kidnapped around 8 pm on August 18, 2020, by  two motorcycle borne criminals from a road near his
house located in Kalibagh locality, Bettiah, killed brutally.

Police sent the body to hospital for post-mortem. Tension prevails in Bettiah town following the kidnapping and cold blooded murder of Wajaif Wasim. DSP, Bettiah, Mukul Parimal Pandey, said that two persons have been detained in connection with the incident and being quizzed by police.

The father of  the deceased Mohammad Wasim talking to this scribe said that no ransom was demanded from him by anyone after his  son went missing and added that he was not aware of the cause behind the brutal murder of his only son.  According to police, the
killers first slit Wajaif’s throat and then stabbed him 40 times.

According to the locals, Wajaif Wasim was allegedly accused in  a case of stabbing of two youngsters:  Vicky and Sagar,  of
his locality and had come out from jail on bail recently. On his return from jail, he was running his shop.
