Ara: Bhojpur police led by ASP (operations) Md Sajid and DSP (probation) Reshu Krishna, on a tip off, conducted raid at `Three River Restaurant’ in Babu Bazaar locality under Town police station on Saturday and arrested two girls and boys in objectionable condition besides an employee of the restaurant and took them to the police station for interrogation. The owner of the restaurant escaped.
Police handed over both the girls to their parents after getting bond fulfilled. The girls were residents of Nasariganj and Ghoradei village and were BA part II and Intermediate students. But the police sent the arrested youths Rabish Kumar alias Bholu, son of Raghwendra Prasad, and Ajay Kumar, son of Mahendra Prasad of Majhaua village under Town police station, and the employee of the restaurant Suraj Kumar Pandey of Babu Bazaar locality under Town police station to jail.
Despite frequent raids and arrest of girls and boys by police, flesh trade is going on with impunity in Ara restaurants. Police had raided Blue Heaven restaurant at Karman Tola under Nawada police station in December 2015 and arrested over 30 boys and girls, Coffee House restaurant on Chitratoli road under Town police station and arrested over 10 boys and girls including the owner of the restaurant, and M restaurant and arrested 14 boys and girls.
