Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Ranchi police are yet to complete their investigation into surrender and later going to Birsa Munda Jail, Hotwar, Ranchi, of two RJD workers: Madan Yadav and Laxman Kumar, allegedly in a  false case on December 23, 2017, morning, the day RJD chief Lalu Prasad was convicted and subsequently arrested and sent to the same jail few hours later in a Fodder Scam case relating to fraudulent drawal of a huge amount from Deoghar Treasury during 1991-94.

According to Senior SSP, Ranchi, Kuldip Dwivedi, the false case was lodged with help of Hinoo (Ranchi)  resident  Sumit Yadav who alleged that Rs 10,000 was snatched from him  by Madan and Laxman after beating them but instead of filing the case with the local  police station, Sumit first  tried to lodge case with Doranda police station but after failing in his effort lodged the case with Lower Bazar police station resulting in surrender of the duo during the day time and reaching Ranchi jail three hours before Lalu was sent to that jail.

As per Ranchi Hotwar jail records, the duo had played the same tricks  in 2013  and had landed in jail few hours before the RJD chief  was convicted in jail in 2013 in another fodder scam. During the stay of Lalu there, Madan and Laxma, both RJD workers, were free to visit him for his personal care whenever they wanted.

Police will be questioning  Sumit Yadav besides  Madan and Laxman. “We are conducting police  investigation into this matter,” said SSP Dwivedi.
