Patna: Hundreds of police personnel, family members and well-wishers on Tuesday bid adieu to slain Kothi police station SHO (Gaya) Qyamuddin Ansari at Madrasa Islamia graveyard at Madrasa Road in Aurangabad. Aurangabad MP Sushil Kumar Singh was also present.

Ansari was gunned by motorcycle borne criminals close to Kothi police station in Gaya when he was on morning stroll on October 3, 2016. The incident shocked the police officials as this was the second incident in the recent past when a policeman was murdered. Recently, an ASI, posted in Nalanda district, was gunned down by criminals in Patna district.

Singh came down heavily on the Grand Alliance government in Bihar saying that even police officials were being gunned down by criminals. He demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the murder of a dedicated police officer.

The slain SHO’s wife Anjum Ara said, “We want justice only.” The SHO’s son and daughter alleged that notorious Shane Ali gang was involved in the murder of their father. They demanded immediate arrest of the killers.
