Patna : Police have arrested 12 criminals including the gang leader Mohd Nehal in connection with loot of ATMs in Patna, Bhojpur, and Nalanda district during last two months from Puliya tola under Phulwarisharif police station in Patna district on August 16, 2018. Police also recovered Rs 10 lakh cash, 5 cars, 4 bikes, 2 autos, 15 mobile phones, three live rounds, two magazines and one pistol from the possession of arrested criminals.
Police have seized tools used by the gang for cutting ATM units. Police in plain clothes conducted raids at the spot where the criminals had gathered to plan another crime and arrested 12 of them. Some of the criminals, however, managed to escape. The ATM stolen from Masaurhi in Patna district was recovered from Khagaul while the ATM stolen from Nalanda was found in Bikram in Patna district. The ATM stolen from Bihia in Bhojpur district was recovered from Neura in Patna district.
The arrested criminals confessed before police that they had stolen five ATMs from different places during the last two months. All of the arrested criminals were involved in several cases of loot and theft.
