Patna : A police constable posted in Special Branch Vijay Nutt shot at and injured his wife Pooja Devi and three year old daughter in CID Lane, Karbigahiya, under Jakkanpur police station, Patna, on March 25, 2019. Pooja Devi sustained bullet injury on her waist while her daughter sustained leg injury. Both of them have been admitted to a local hospital.
According to family members, constable Vijay Nutt is allegedly a drunkard and prohibition notwithstanding, he boozes daily. They said that Vijay used to quarrel with his wife daily in an inebriated state. The family members said that even on March 25 afternoon, Vijay reached his house in drunken state and quarrelled with his wife and in a fit of rage whipped out his service revolver and fired at his wife and daughter and fled away rom there. On getting information, local police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
