Police arrest two persons from Patna hotel with Rs 63 lakh cash

Patna : Police took into custody two persons from Kolkata from a hotel located on Ashok Rajpath under Pirbahore police station, Patna, with Rs 63 lakh cash and 400 gm gold on October 13, 2017.  Police seized the huge cash and gold from the possession of the two persons during routine checking of hotels in view of the visit of the prime minister to Patna on October 14. The hotel is located opposite Pirbahore police station.

The two persons were taken to the police station where a team of IT officials were called to quiz them. A police official said that the two persons had been handed over to the IT officials. The two persons, who were staying in that hotel for the last two days, claimed that they were jewellers and identified themselves as Sheikh Nasiruddin and Ganesh.
