Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested two liquor smugglers and also seized 130 packets of IMFL near Bihia railway station under Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR) on March 2, 2017, evening. Th e arrested persons were identified as Shatrughan Singh, son of Pappu Kumar Singh of Lauhar Farana village under Barhara police station, and Guddu Lal, son of Siddhnath Prasad Verma of station road locality under Bihia police station. The third liquor smuggler, Karan Jaiswal, son of Ramesh Jaiswal of Pipe Line locality under Bihia police station, managed to escape.
SHO, Bihia police station, said that he had information that liquor was being smuggled from Allahabad UP, by train and so police laid a trap. The liquor smugglers got down at Bihia railway station from the train and proceeded towards village Bela with liquor in three bags. Police chased and caught two of them along with 130 packets of liquor. He said an FIR has been lodged in this connection and the arrested liquor smugglers were sent to jail.
