Bagaha : Police on February 25, 2017, evening busted a gang of thieves and recovered goods worth Rs.50,000 including costly clothes, utensils, garments, hair oil bottles, sandals and other cosmetics  from a hut of Basic Middle Sschool, Harnatand, in West Champaran district. Police arrested four members of the gang including three women.

Laukaria police station, SHO, Sunil Kumar said that members of the gang included Chameli Devi and Premchand Dubey of village Dindyalmagar, Mumju Devi of Banakatwa and Punam Devi of Parasnagar under Bagaha police station and they were  operating in Harnatand Mela and kept the stolen goods in the hut after stealing the same from shops at the Mela. Police, on a tip off, arrested and recovered the stolen goods. DSP, Headquarters, Bagaha, B K Pasawan comfirmed that Laukaria police had registered a case in this connection and sent all the four thieves to Bagaha sub-jail on February 26, 2017.
