Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids and arrested two inter-state criminals near Baina Zamina canal at village Baina under Agiaw Bazaar police station in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on September 17,2020. Plice also seized two countrymade pistols and three live cartridges from their possession.
The arrested criminals were identified as Shiv Yadav, son of late Bengali Yadav of Akdahi Tola village, and Badak Paswan, son of Doman Paswan, of Baina Jamani village under Agiaw Bazaar police station. Police arrested them when they were going to commit crime at some places. Later, police sent them to jail after interrogation.
Talking to mediapersons on September 18, 2020, Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai said that he got information that two absconders Shiv Yadav and Badak Paswan had gathered near Baina Jamina village under Agiaw Bazaar police station were on look out to commit rime somewhere. The SP immediately formed a police team under SHO, Agiawa Bazaar police station, Sudeh Kumar. The police team conducted raids and arrested both the absconders Shiv Yadav and Badak Paswan with firearms and live cartridges.
The SP further said that both Shiv YadaBadak Paswan are inter-state criminals. A number of criminal cases are pending against them with different police stations of Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Kaimur, and Saran districts in Bihar and Balia and Gazipur in Uttar Pradesh. They were wanted in the murder of a priest of a temple at Pitaro village under Agiaw Bazaar police station and stealing of ashtdhatu idols of lord Ram, Laxman and goddess Sita. A named FIR was lodged with Agiaw Bazaar police station and four persons are undergoing life imprisonment in connection but these criminals were absconding. Besides, they were also wanted in a number of cases of loot, murder, and dacoities.
