Patna : COVID-19 cases increased to 1,65,371 in Bihar on September 18, 2020, after as 1,147 more persons including 199 from Patna, 60 from Saharsa, 53 from Purnia, and 49 from Supaul, tested positive to it on SEptember 17, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 46 persons from West Champaran, 46 from Araria, 46 from Bhagalpur, 42, from Saran, 41 from Nalanda, 41 from Muzaffarpur, 36 from Rohtas, 32 from Kishanganj, and 30 from East Champaran, also tested positive to COVID-19 on September 17, 2020.

Of the 1,65,371 COVID cases reported so far in Bihar, a total of 1,51,400 patients have been declared cured including 1,678 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 91.55 %. The state has tested 53,99,493 COVID samples till date including 92,156 samples on September 17, 2020. The number of active cases in the state was 13,111 on September 18, 2020.

The COVID-19 death toll increased to 859 in Bihar on September 18 with 4 new deaths being reported from different places including 3 from Patna and one from Madhubani. The toll in Patna jumped to 196 on September 18, 2020.
