Sitamarhi: Sitamarhi police under the leadership of Sadar SDPO Rajiv Ranjan, on a tip off, seized arrested along five vehicle and motorbike lifters along with a recently stolen SUV on Thursday near village Mahdaiyya on NH 104. The criminals were en route Nepal to sale the stolen SUV, which belongs to one Dipak Chaudhary, a native of village Raipur.
The SUV was stolen on August 5, 2016, from Dipak’s residential premises at village Raipur under Nanpur police station in the district. The arrested criminals were identified as Nagendra Chaudhary, Vikram Prasad, Raj Kumar Sahni, Nand Kishore Bhagat and Sujit Kumar Bhandari, all from Sitamarhi district.
Sitamarhi SP Hari Prasath S said that their arrest would helppolice solve several cases of vehicle and motorbike theft. Their other accomplices would be arrested soon, the SP added.
