Buxar : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids at gambling centres at different places under Buxar Town police station (PS) in Buxar District in South Bihar and arrested eight gamblers. Police also seized Rs 3,50,000 cash and four motorcycles.
A named FIR was lodged with Buxar Town PS in this connection and the arrested gamblers were sent jail after interrogation. Police are conducting raids to arrest other gamblers.
Buxar SP Neeraj Kumar Singh on February 26, 2021, said that he got information that gambling was going on at different places. He formed a police team that conducted raids at different places under Buxar police station and arrested 8 gamblers and seized about Rs 3,50,000, a pack of cards, and other papers from their possession.
The arrested gamblers were identified as Deepak Kumar of Jahaj Ghat, Dhanesh Kumar of Chaudhary of Mallah Toli, Jitendra Kumar of Pandey Patti, Ajay Chaudhary of Sugar Mill area, Raj Kapil of Musafirganj, Azad Hashmi of Bandhan Patawa in Dumraon, and Mukesh Yadav of Padari under Industrial police station.
