Ara : Police, on a tip off, arrested six notorious criminals near Pahari Baba Kataya Road under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district on August 12, 2018, and seized four loaded countrymade pistols, 11 live cartridges, 7 cellphones and 4 stolen motorcycles and Rs 3,500 cash from their possession.

The arrested criminals were identified as Manoj Kumar Yadav of Bela village under Ara Muffassil police station, Suresh Yadav alias Buchan Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav alias Loha Yadav of Kachniya village under Jagdishpur police station, Rajesh Yadav alias Kariya Yadav of Madhavpur village under Sahar police station, Sanjeet Yadav alias Kariya Yadav of Kateya village under Shahpur police station and Dharmendra Sao alias Pagla of Sundarpur Baraza village under Bihia police station.

Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar on August 12 evening said that he got information that about a half a dozen criminals were hatching some plan at Pahadi Baba Road under Bihia police station and he immediately formed a police team under ASP Manjeet Kumar. The police team conducted raids in the area and arrested 6 criminals. He said that these criminals were wanted in a number of cases of murder, loot, dacoity and other crimes and police were searching for them for long. He said that with their arrest, police have cracked half a dozen cases of murder, loot and snatching.

The SP further said that Mohan Ji Pandey, CSP owner and resident of Nainijor in Buxar district, was killed and Rs 90,000 was looted from him on May 10, 2018, and the same day Rs 26,000 was looted from Bandhan Bank and Rs 28 lakh from a bank agent at village Bargah under Bihia police station. The arrested criminals have confessed their involvement in all theĀ  muder and loot cases during interrogation. He said Mukesh Yadav and Rajesh Yadav alias Kariya are history-sheeters.
