Police arrest 5 bike-lifters in Bhojpur, seize stolen bike

Ara : Bhojpur police on April 24, 2019, busted a gang of bike lifters and arrested five members of the gang and also seized a stolen motorcycle.

The arrested members of the gang were identified as Mukesh Chaudhary, Kallu Chaudhary, Jitendra Chaudhary, Mantoo Chaudhary, and Dharmendra Chaudhary. Police sent them to jail after interrogation. Mukesh Chaudhary and Kallu Chaudhary are said to be mastermind of the gang.

SHO, Nawada police station, Ara, Lallan Kumar said that motorcycle of Dinesh Singh was stolen from his residence at Sarvodayanagar locality under Nawada police station on April 6, 2019, and an FIR was lodged with the police in this regard. After institution of FIR, police swung into action and arrested Jitendra Chaudhary from Anaith locality. During interrogation, he revealed the names and whereabouts of other members of the gang.

Police, without losing time, conducted raids at village Kothia under Agiao Bazaar police station and arrested Kallu Chaudhary, Mukesh Chaudhary, Mantoo Chaudhary, and Dharmendra Chaudhary. Police also recovered the motorcycle from the house of Mantoo Chaudhary. All the arrested miscreants confessed their involvement in bike lifting and said that the stolen motorcycle could not be sold out for want of customer.
