Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raids at a guessing centre near Hospital Road under Piro police station on Ara-Sasaram main road on September 25, 2019, late evening, and arrested four gamblers and also seized a brand new Swift car and Rs 290 cash.
The arrested gamblers were identified as Suraj Kumar, Pappu Kumar, and Chandan Kumar of Ara, and Azad Khan of Piro. The police lodged a named FIR against them and later sent them to jail after interrogation.
SHO, Piro police station, Pankaj Kumar said that he got information that a guessing centre is being run near Hospital Mor. He immediately swung into action and with police force conducted raids at the guessing centre and arrested four gamblers. He said that the arrested gamblers confessed their involvement in guessing and also revealed names of two more members of their gang. He added that police are conducting raids to arrest them too
