Ara : Jharkhand police with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart pasted Ishtehar (Proclamation Notice) on the wall of the house of an absconding RPF personnel posted in Jharkhand Pawan Kumar Singh at village Karath under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district on September 26, 2019, in connection with a triple murder case. The Ishtehar was pasted in connection with Barkakana police case No 18/2019.

SHO, Tarari police station, said that Pawan Kumar Singh, son of Binod Singh of village Karath, is RPF personnel posted at Barkakana in Jharkhand. He purchased milk from a milkman Ashok Ram but the milkman stopped supplying milk to him as he had not paid the money for milk for several months. Angry over it, Pawan Kumar allegedly shot dead Ashok Ram, his wife Shanti Devi, and his pregnant daughter Varsha Devi and injured another daughter Suman Devi and son Sanjay Ram at their house at Barakakana with his service revolver  on August 17, 2019 and escaped.

The injured were later admitted to Ranchi Medical College and Hospital in critical condition. Despite several attempts, Jharkhand police could not arrest Pawan Kumar and so they prayed the court to issue Ishtehar against him. On the order of the court, SI Anil Kumar Singh along with police force reached Ara and with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart pasted the Ishtehar on the wall of the absconding RPF personnel Pawan Kumar’s house at village Karath under Tarari police station.
