Police arrest 3 extortionists in Bagaha

Bagaha : Police arrested three extortionists: Sanjay Kumar Ram and Jitendra Paswan of village Belasandi under Gaunaha police station, and Hemant Kumar Tharu of village Kala -Barawa under Laukaria police station in Bagaha police district with three mobile phones on January 20, 2018.

They were arrested by different teams of Special Task Force (STF) of Bagaha police district for demanding Rs 5 lakh Rangdari (extortion amount) from  proprietor of Hero Honda agency of Harnatand Braj Mohan Khatait through  mobile phone on January 17, 2018. They were forwarded to Bagaha jail on January 21.

Bagaha SP Arvind Kumar Gupta said the leaders of the two police teams : Vinay Mishra, SHO, Laukaria police station (PS), and SHO, Naurangia police station, Harendra Prasad will be awarded for arresting the accused within four days The SP directed SHO, Laukaria PS, Vinay Mishra, to submit chargesheet in the case within a week to ensure speedy trial of the accused.
