Patna : Police on August 1, 2018, claimed to cracked the case of loot of Rs 90,000 cash from Maa Santoshi petrol pump at Ilahibagh under Gopalpur police station in Patna district recently by arresting three criminals involved in the incident on July 30, 2018, night. The same criminals had also robbed a truck driver of Rs15,000.

City SP (East) Rajendra Kumar Bheel said that on July 29, a sum of Rs. 90,000 was looted from Maa Santoshi petrol pump at Ilahibagh. Later, three youth riding a white motorcycle were identified through CCTV footage.

City SP said that a police team led by ASP (Sadar) Sushant Kumar Saroj was constituted to arrest the criminals, involved in both loot incidents. He said that on July 30 night, when a police team was ready to carry out raid, they spotted a white bike with three youths on it. He said that when the cops tried to intercept them, the youth tried to speed away. But, police arrested them, he said adding they were identified as Sanjay, Manish, and Manjeet, hes aid.

The City SP said that during interrogation, the arrested criminals admitted that they had also looted Rs 15,000 cash from a truck driver from Nagaland. He said that police recovered Rs 15,000 cash looted from truck driver on the same day.
