Motihari : Police on August 9, 2019, arrested  one Nesar Akhtar, a Government Primary School Tteacher of Bhusaha  under Sangrampur police station in East Champaran district, for  allegedly posting  a derogatory remarks against a Goddess on Faebook and sent him to jail.

As soon as the  post went viral on Facebook  account of the said teacher, hundreds of persons assembled outside Sangrampur police station and demanded  action against him. Parmanand Pandey, a villager lodged a case against  Nesar Ahamad in this
connection. Police  arrested the said teacher and seized his cellphone  for  examination.

District Education Office (DEO) Lalit Narayan Rajak, said  that action is being taken against the teacher and DM  has been informed about the incident.

On the other hand, a student of  Intermediate Arts Shubham  was arrested  by Motihari police  on August 9, 2019, for
allegedly posting derogatory remarks against a religious place on his Facebook account. SP, East Champaran, Umesh Kumar Sharma,  quizzed the student at Motihari Town police station  before sending him to jail .
